“Comme moyen de promotion et de diffusion, l’atelier «BangBang» a créé des cartons d’allumettes, un médium quelque peu délaissé, arborant trois de leurs signatures. Sérigraphiés de l’extérieur, ces cartons contiennent le site web et le numéro de téléphone à titre de communication.”
[As a means of promotion and dissemination, the workshop ”BangBang“ created matchbooks, a medium somewhat neglected, featuring three of their signatures. Screen-printed on the outside, these boxes contain the website and phone number as communication.]
Again with this branding process. I’m just gonna work at it until I well and truly like it.
Bah.
Ultimately, whether we want to deal with it or not, we do end up needing to brand ourselves. So instead of dealing with it on a case by case basis, take a step back and thing about it. Figure out what your needs are, figure out what you have to offer, and decide what you want to accomplish.
I’ve got a new article up at Ten Paces and Draw, and unlike the last two, this one is all new, and has never appeared on this tumblr before. Read it here!
This time it’s all about personal branding, but you can ask questions to prompt future articles!
Love this, especially since I’m still trying to figure out my personal brand without just slapping a name in a circle and calling it done (so close to doing that though).
adviceI added all of my projects (finally), but my…ahem…personal logo…
I’m still tweaking it. I’ll always be tweaking it.
I’ve been thinking about this for a minute now and since I probably wouldn’t have made through these last 2 months with making a lot of lists, I figured now would be as good a time as any to make another.
I probably missed a lot, but a lot can happen in five years.
There as been a My Little Pony and an Optimus Prime on my desk at least once this year.
I should be sleeping…I deserve to be sleeping, but I urgently need a identity system for myself and I can’t think of anything good and I’m honestly considering stealing Wile E. Coyote’s business card because he’s got the right idea.
Right?
VooDoo Menu
N-O spells ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I will admit there are parts of this that are working. And there are parts that should never see the light of day. I tried, I really, really did. But it’s not nearly as fun as my old menu, not as colorful, or as tightened up layout-wise.
It’s honestly the most boring thing I’ve ever seen. And I’m actually ashamed of it.
I think I will just show the cover, the burgers and chicken spread and then detail shots of the illustrations for my portfolio.
I need more time to think of a GOOD, CLEAR, and CLEAN way to show combinations of stuff. Maybe it could just be one spread and I could do little illustrations of things like a pig with wings (which I’ve already drawn) that show imaginative combinations without literally showing it.
